Modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) extends the shelf-life of your food products. It is very important to ensure that the correct gas content is used so that the forecast shelf life is achieved.
PBI-Dansensor is proud to present the new and improved MAP Check Combi II which is capable securing the quality of MAP through on-line measuring and recording of the gas content in a package before sealing it, while ensuring extremely high accuracy.
How does it work?
Alarms are activated if the gas concentrations exceed the user specified levels. The analyser is specifically designed for both vertical and horizontal flow packaging machines. Long validity and an absolute minimum of maintenance are reached thanks to the development of a new single pump system.
The gas concentration alarms, system alarms, etc. are communicated to the packaging machines via relay output and RS 232. On certain machines it is possible to interface the program selection function via RS 232, which means that the packaging machine automatically executes the right program selection in the MAP Check Combi. The start/stop function of the entire system is executed by the packaging machine.
Advantages of the MAP Check Combi II
MAP Check Combi comes in several different versions, so you can choose exactly the analyser that you need. The MAP Check Combi II is available with a spot-test unit or a proportional flow controller. The spot-test unit allows you to take out random samples and check that the expected mix registered is in fact correct. This gives you double security.
Another great advantage is the flush back function, which enables the system to clean itself automatically. Should something obstruct the sample hose, the equipment can “blow” out the obstructing elements and thereby clean itself, saving a lot of time. With the existing MAP Check Combi, the operator had to dismount the hose and remove the obstructing element to solve the problem.
The new MAP Check Combi II is a state-of-the-art on-line gas analyser that ensures your quality control. Furthermore, the operator has very user-friendly and reliable equipment for measuring the correct level of O2 or combined O2 and CO2 gases. |
